Start With Data. Not Guesswork.

Health history, InBody body composition, mobility, strength, balance, and movement analysis — reviewed with a coach before a single workout is written.

Why We Assess Before We Train

EVERY BODY IS DIFFERENT
Two people chasing the same goal rarely need the same plan. Your history, your joints, your schedule, and your starting point all change what should happen first.

WE DO NOT BELIEVE IN ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL
You will not be handed a generic template and left to figure it out. Your program is written only after we understand what we are working with.

IT REDUCES YOUR RISK OF INJURY
Screening your movement, your history, and your limitations first lets us push hard where you are ready and build patiently where you are not.

IT LETS US PERSONALIZE YOUR TRAINING
Knowing your mobility, strength, and cardiovascular baselines lets your coach choose the right exercises, the right loads, and the right progression from day one.

IT GIVES YOU OBJECTIVE BASELINE NUMBERS
Numbers replace guesswork. You leave with real data about where you stand today instead of an opinion or an estimate.

IT MAKES PROGRESS MEASURABLE
Future InBody scans and reassessments compare directly against your baseline, so improvement becomes something you can see on paper instead of something you hope is happening.

How Your Assessment Works

01 — TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

A short intake form covers your goals, your training background, and how you would like to train. It takes a few minutes.

02 — TALK WITH A PEAK COACH

A coach reaches out to confirm your appointment, answer your questions, and make sure you know exactly what to expect before you arrive.

03 — COMPLETE YOUR HEALTH SCREENING

Health questionnaire, waiver, medical history, previous injuries, surgeries, and current medications, all reviewed before anything physical begins.

04 — INBODY BODY COMPOSITION SCAN

A short scan establishes your baseline for body fat, skeletal muscle mass, and left-to-right balance, so progress can be measured instead of guessed.

05 — MOVEMENT & FITNESS ASSESSMENT

Mobility, flexibility, balance, strength, and cardiovascular testing, scaled to your age and current ability, so your coach can see how your body actually moves.

06 — YOUR PERSONALIZED RECOMMENDATIONS

You sit down with your coach, review your results together, and leave knowing exactly where you stand and which coaching path fits your goals, your schedule, and your body.

Understanding Your InBody Scan

BODY FAT PERCENTAGE

The share of your weight that is fat rather than muscle, bone, and water. It tells you far more about your health and your progress than body weight ever will.

SKELETAL MUSCLE MASS

The muscle you can actually train and build. Watching this number rise while body fat falls is the clearest sign your program is working.

VISCERAL FAT

The fat stored around your organs. It is the type most closely associated with long-term health risk, and it responds well to consistent training and nutrition.

SEGMENTAL LEAN MASS

Lean mass measured arm by arm, leg by leg, and through your trunk. Imbalances here explain a great deal about old injuries and how your program should be loaded.

BODY WATER

Total and intracellular water, which reflect hydration and recovery. It also explains why the bathroom scale can swing several pounds in a single day.

BASAL METABOLIC RATE

The energy your body burns at rest. This is the starting point for any honest conversation about nutrition targets and daily intake.

WHY THESE NUMBERS MATTER

Body weight alone cannot tell the difference between losing fat and losing muscle. These measurements can, so your plan is adjusted based on what is actually changing.

HOW FUTURE SCANS SHOW REAL PROGRESS

Every reassessment lines up against your baseline. You watch fat, muscle, and balance move over time, which is far more useful and far more motivating than one number on a scale.

What Your Assessment Experience Feels Like

YOU ARE WELCOMED, NOT EVALUATED

You are greeted by a coach who already knows your name and why you reached out. There is no crowd watching, no clipboard being scored, and no reason to feel self-conscious about where you are starting.

IT STARTS WITH A CONVERSATION

Before you move at all, we sit down and talk. Your goals, your history, your schedule, and anything that has made training difficult in the past. Most of what shapes your program comes from this conversation.

NOTHING IS A PASS OR FAIL TEST

The assessment exists to understand you, not to grade you. There is no score to beat and no standard you are expected to meet. Whatever we find simply becomes your starting point.

EVERY STEP IS EXPLAINED BEFORE YOU DO IT

Your coach tells you what is coming, why it matters, and what it will show us. You are never asked to perform a movement that has not been explained and demonstrated first.

TESTING IS SCALED TO YOU

A former athlete and a complete beginner do not go through the same assessment. Movements are scaled, substituted, or set aside based on what is appropriate and comfortable for you that day.

QUESTIONS ARE ENCOURAGED

Ask anything. About the equipment, the numbers, the terminology, or what any of it means for your goals. The assessment is as much your chance to interview us as it is ours to understand you.

YOU LEAVE KNOWING WHERE YOU STAND

Before you go, your coach walks you through what we found in plain language and what it means for your training. You leave with clarity and a recommendation, whether or not you decide to train with us.

Every Great Plan Starts With an Assessment

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND BLINDLY

No one at Peak will suggest a membership before we understand your goals, your history, and how you move. A recommendation made without information is just a guess.

EDUCATION COMES BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE

Your assessment is spent teaching, not selling. You will leave understanding what we measured, what those numbers mean, and what we would do about them.

THE ASSESSMENT IDENTIFIES THE RIGHT FIT

Semi-Private Personal Training, Athletic Development, Private Open Gym, Open Gym PLUS, Online Coaching, or Nutrition Coaching. The assessment is how we know which one actually fits your goals, your experience, and your schedule.

THERE IS NO OBLIGATION

You are not required to join, sign anything, or commit to a program. If Peak is not the right fit for you right now, we will tell you that honestly.

EVERY RECOMMENDATION IS PERSONAL

Two people with the same goal often need two different plans. What we suggest comes from your data and your circumstances, never from a package we are trying to fill.

YOU LEAVE WITH CLARITY

Whatever you decide, you leave understanding your starting point, what is working for and against you, and the most direct path to the results you want.

Common Questions

HOW LONG DOES THE ASSESSMENT TAKE? Plan on enough time for a real conversation, your InBody scan, and a movement assessment without feeling rushed. Your coach confirms the exact length when you schedule.

IS THE ASSESSMENT REALLY COMPLIMENTARY? Yes. Your first Peak Performance assessment is complimentary, and there is no obligation to join afterward.

DO I NEED TO BE IN SHAPE BEFORE COMING IN? No. The assessment exists to find your starting point, wherever that happens to be. Many people who book one have not trained consistently in years.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Comfortable training clothes and athletic shoes. Bring water. Nothing else is required.

SHOULD I EAT BEFORE MY INBODY SCAN? For the cleanest baseline, try to avoid a large meal or a hard workout immediately beforehand and drink water normally. Your coach shares simple guidance before your appointment.

WHAT IF I HAVE INJURIES OR MEDICAL CONDITIONS? Tell us. Injuries, past surgeries, medications, and current limitations are all part of the health history review, and your program is built to respect them. We do not diagnose or treat anything, and if something needs a medical opinion first, we will say so.

WILL I EXERCISE DURING THE ASSESSMENT? You will move, but it is not a workout. Expect mobility, balance, strength, and cardiovascular screens scaled to your current ability, with your coach explaining each one before you do it.

IS THIS A MEDICAL EVALUATION? No. This is a coaching assessment. The InBody scan measures body composition; it does not diagnose medical conditions, and nothing we provide replaces guidance from your physician.

DO I HAVE TO JOIN AFTERWARD? No. You will leave with a clear picture of where you stand and a recommendation. What you decide to do with it is entirely up to you.

CAN TEENAGERS COMPLETE AN ASSESSMENT? Yes. Youth and high-school athletes are assessed with age-appropriate testing, and a parent or guardian is welcome to attend.

CAN I BRING A PARENT, SPOUSE, OR SUPPORT PERSON? Yes. You are welcome to bring someone with you. Many people find it easier to ask questions with a familiar face in the room.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE ASSESSMENT? Your coach reviews your results with you and recommends the service that fits best. If you move forward, your program, scheduling, progress tracking, and coach messaging all live inside the Peak Performance App.

Your Training Should Be Built Around You.

Start with the intake form. A Peak coach will follow up to talk through your goals, your history, and the right starting point for you.
